It’s really been a difficult few weeks and I’ll be dealing with the fallout for a long time. That said, I think I finally have the virus I’ve been dealing with for the last several weeks beaten into submission. Yesterday I was able to put in a little over 5 miles running on the trails and this morning I talked myself out of bed at 5am for a swim. Also, I’m optimistic about getting on the Mtn bike tonight for some trail riding.
IM Boulder isn’t getting any farther away, so it’s time to get focused and stick to the plan. My goal is to start the season in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’ve got my diet back in check and hoping to get the weight down. My target for 1-hr w/kg is 3.25 through a combination of increased power and weight loss. Currently sitting at 2.98 w/kg, so it’s doable but will take a lot of effort.
